Sandhu Logistics conducts extensive route studies which help to identify obstacles and devise alternative routes, when it's about moving ODC (Over Dimensional Cargo) or heavy lift consignments. These studies also enable temporary arrangements such as building or strengthening of bridges. The division utilizes its rich experience and expertise in the domain while leveraging technology, deploying a dedicated team and utilizing a strong knowledge base.
In critical cases, single mode of transportation is not feasible alternative modes or multimodal operations are suggested along with operational methodology, cost estimation etc.

Pontoons / By-Passes

The route may consist of a number of bridges, rivers and creeks which may have to be by-passed, while transporting a heavy lift to a desired destination. In such cases, along with providing materials, designing and constructing pontoons, etc, we also secure various regulatory permissions & approvals that may be required.

• Canals – we construct specially designed ramps for by-passing canals.
• Rivers – our strong network enables us to arrange for the crossing of rivers using specially designed combinations of pontoons, pipes and ramps.
• Bridges – to ensure hassle free transportation of cargoes over bridges, we acquire special prior permissions from the relevant authorities.
